Pennsylvania EXAFLOOD Series:
Preparing Pennsylvania for Exponential
Internet & Broadband Growth
The Act 138 grant program was created to make Pennsylvania schools leaders in educational broadband. The amount of digital information created, captured and replicated in 2006 was 161 exabytes, about three million times more information than in every book ever written. The capacity for storing information is infinite, but the capacity of the networks connecting students to the information is finite.

The EXAFLOOD series addresses Pennsylvania’s exploding broadband needs, by preparing decision makers and educators for the future of learning. Attend and learn how your company or school can prepare for the flood. Presented in partnership with the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania. Sponsored by Pennsylvania Telecommunications Task Force.

When You Get a Job Offer
By Alison Doyle

Just because someone offers you a job doesn't mean you have to take it. I turned down a job I knew I didn't want - multiple times. The Hiring Manager called me back three times to offer me more money, but it wasn't money that was the issue. I wasn't comfortable with the commute and the job really wasn't what I wanted.

Even if you are desperate, you should think twice about accepting a job when your gut tells you that it's the not the right job for you.
